ADULT GROUP CLASSES

The Alliance Française of Greater Phoenix offers a wide range of French courses open to people of all ages, from beginners to advanced levels, Monday through Friday and also during the weekend throughout the year.


Each Alliance Française, follows the official program built by the Council of Europe called: The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The CEFR describes foreign language proficiency at six levels: A1: Beginner 1 / A2: Beginner 2 / B1: Intermediate 1 / B2: Intermediate 2 / C1: Advanced 1 / C2: Advanced 2.


We offer three 12-week sessions per year (Fall, Winter & Spring) and two 6-week sessions for the Summer. 

French group classes for all levels.

A1 GROUP CLASSES

A0 - COMPLETE BEGINNERS

A1.1 - BEGINNERS LEVEL 1

This A0 (Complete Beginner) course is perfect for those starting their French journey without any previous exposure! 


Fees are non-refundable, but a credit can be applied towards the next session.

Please note that a class needs a minimum of 4 students to run.  For 3 students, the class will be shortened to 1.5h/week.  For 2 students, the class will be shortened to 1h/week. If the minimum is not reached before the beginning date of the session, we will contact you to offer you to join another class of the same level.

Please note that a class needs a minimum of 4 students to run. For 3 students, the class will be shortened to 1.5h/week.  For 2 students, the class will be shortened to 1h/week. Participants will expand their vocabulary, practice everyday conversation, and refine their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. The course emphasizes using basic grammar correctly while gaining confidence in real-life communication situations.


Fees are non-refundable, but a credit can be applied towards the next session.

Please note that a class needs a minimum of 4 students to run. For 3 students, the class will be shortened to 1.5h/week.  For 2 students, the class will be shortened to 1h/week. If the minimum is not reached before the beginning date of the session, we will contact you to offer you to join another class of the same level.

This is the final stage of the beginner (A1) level, focusing on building a solid foundation, reinforcing basic sentence structures, and expanding vocabulary to discuss familiar topics like personal interests, daily life, and simple travel. The A1.4 class will prepare students to transition to the A2 level.

This Masterclass is dedicated to the exploration of a work of French literature.

Improve your French pronunciation by learning the tricks to pronounce the hardest sounds of the French language.
