Janice Robillard - French Québec Workshop

All levels of French accepted.
Improve your French pronunciation by learning the tricks to pronounce the hardest sounds of the French language.
4 classes of 1h: March 6, 13, 20 & 27 2021

Non-members: $120 the session of 4 classes

You will develop and improve your ability to speak French and your self-expression skills with an audience.
Through warm-up and exercises, participants will be exploring various drama techniques, working on listening and speaking, the body, the space as well as the relationship between partners. To help you, a particular focus will be given to pronunciation, expression fluidity, interpretation, and creativity.
Price: $120/month (for 4 classes)
Every Saturday, 10 am to 11 am

The Drama Club offers the children an initiation to drama practice through verbal and non-verbal activities.
The class will be compounded by a physical and vocal warm-up and various exercises (mime, improvisation, writing, theatre, …) to develop creativity and encourage the expression of oneself. The class will be conducted in French.
Price: $100/month (for 4 classes)
Age: 5 - 9 years old
4 to 6 participants max.

Mathilde Schennen is a Belgian actor/director who studied Dramatic Arts at the Royal Conservatory of Mons (Belgium), the Studio Herman Teirlinck and at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, NYC. She is also an alumni of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab 2013 and the DirectorsLabChicago 2014.
Her recent acting credits include Three Translations of Uncle Vanya at the Same Time – Act 2 (The Invisible Dog) ; Voix de Femmes (United-Nations, Columbia University, tour in Switzerland and Guadeloupe); Folie Pure (Theatre for the New City).
Her recent directing credits include Diary of Madman (UNDER St Marks, Festival Fringe of Edinburgh, Pokolenyi Theatre, Headwaters Theater and a tour in Switzerland); His Majesty the Devil (59E59 Theaters, Festival Fringe of Edinburgh and Fringe NYC Festival); Waiting for Godot (Kraine Theatre).
She has been working as an actress and a stage director in New York City and Brussels for more than 20 years and taught “Theater in French” at ASU in 2019. She is also an alumni of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab 2013 and the DirectorsLabChicago 2014.
